Additional Options
1. “Environmental Education goes… everywhere”
This is a short program (2 teaching hours) addressed to all levels of education and all teaching specialties. Essentially, it can be used as a means of cultivating environmental awareness and behavior within any subject area. In this way, the learning object is broadened (interdisciplinarity, collaborative – experiential – inquiry-based learning) and aligned with the requirements of the new Curricula.
Within this framework, it can be incorporated into the implementation of Actions for Education for Sustainability, Active Citizenship, and Local History and Geography. In each Program description, its connection to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals is specified.
The exact program, content, methodology, and pedagogical tools will be determined following consultation and collaboration with the teacher of the specific school class.
2. School-Based Professional Development
The above-mentioned Environmental Programs can also be utilized within the framework of teacher professional development in school units, following relevant consultation and planning regarding timing, needs, thematic focus, etc.
